چکیده

Glomerulonephritis with organized immunoglobulin deposits are heterogeneous and may be encountered in a variety of renal disorders. It is particularly important to determine the exact types of immunoglobulin deposited and their monotypy/ monoclonality, using specific anti-light chain conjugates and in some instances, anti> Cet article est paru initialement dans l’Encyclopédie EMC-Néphrologie, III-2003, Volume 1, 18–038–A-10, 8 pages. Lobular membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis with organized microtubular monoclonal immunoglobulin deposits associated with B cell small lymphocytic lymphoma.

Sir, Fibrillary glomerulonephritis (FGN) and immunotactoid glomerulopathy (ITG) are well known glomerular diseases with Congo-red-negative deposits [1–4]. While FGN is characterized by randomly arranged microfibrils around 20 nm in diameter with no underlying systemic disorder, ITG is defined by orderly arranged microtubular deposits, usually >30nm in diameter with a hollow core; patients with ...

Proliferative Glomerulonephritis with Monoclonal IgG Deposits Associated with Membrano-Proliferative Features: Case Report

Proliferative glomerulonephritis with monoclonal IgG deposits (PGNMID) is a recently described entity. It is featured by glomerular nonorganized monoclonal immunoglobulin G deposits. Monoclonal IgG deposits are associated with glomerular proliferative lesions, mimicking different types of immune-complex glomerulonephritis. We report two classic cases of PGNMID which fulfilled all criteria of th...

Relapsing proliferative glomerulonephritis with monoclonal IgG deposits showing circumferential crescentic glomerulonephritis

Several types of glomerulonephritis associated with dysproteinemia, such as AL-amyloidosis, light- and heavy-chain deposition disease, and type 1 cryoglobulinemic glomerulopathy, demonstrate monoclonal immunoglobulin deposition. Progressive glomerulonephritis with monoclonal IgG deposits (PGNMID) is also known to feature monoclonal glomerular deposits, but most of these cases occur without unde...

Ultrastructural pathology of nephropathies with organized deposits: a case series

Renal organized or structured deposits are much less frequent than those with usual type immunocomplex deposits and are encountered in a wide variety of primary and systemic disorders. It has been suggested that immunoglobulins (Igs) are responsible for organized deposits. We report 5 cases who have been diagnosed and treated in our hospital. Patients were aged 52 to 72 years, three of them wer...

Nephrotic Syndrome Secondary to Proliferative Glomerulonephritis with Monoclonal Immunoglobulin Deposits of Lambda Light Chain

We describe a rare case of a 46-year-old woman with history of refractory nephrotic syndrome and hypertension who presented with worsening proteinuria and kidney function. Work-up for both autoimmune and infectious diseases and hematologic malignancies including multiple myeloma were negative. Kidney biopsy demonstrated glomerular sclerotic change with lambda light chain deposits in the subendo...
